The windshield is the most frequently replaced panel on a Northern Nevada vehicle — and on modern cars it carries the ADAS camera, which means recalibration costs on top of the glass.
Windshield film is an optically clear sacrificial layer that absorbs the impact of highway gravel. It installs invisibly, works with rain sensors and cameras, and is replaced far more cheaply than laminated glass.
